ABOUT ME
J Christopher Jennings (that’s me!) is a GIS/web/database developer from Chicago, IL. Originally from central Illinois, my first computer (a Commodore 64) landed on my desk in Jr. High , and thus began my love for computers. While my formal education is in Biology and Environmental Science, the itch to hack on software and hardware never left me. I’ve since successfully transitioned into software development full-time, specializing in web-based GIS applications. I’m married to a beautiful wife, father to two wonderful girls, and friend to my little, white, fluffy dog.
I’m currently a Senior GIS Programmer/Analyst at Patrick Engineering, Inc. in Chicago, IL.

Spatialbytes.com is a site that explores Geographic Information Systems (GIS), web design/development, and technology. My interests are eclectic and this site will tend to reflect that fact. This is the second incarnation of Spatialbytes.com–the first being a pathetic attempt at blogging for the first time. Here’s to a better go-around this time.
